LSQ is seeking a Business Intelligence analyst to collaborate with the Data and Supply Chain Finance teams to deliver impactful and engaging analytics to current and prospective SME clients of the FastTrack program at LSQ. Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, this position will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the Sales and Onboarding teams with analytics, developing impactful business cases for decision-makers (e.g., CFOs, Treasurers, Procurement executives) of mid-to-large market corporates, and by streamlining processes with data. This position will be a part of our Operations/Risk/Data (ORD) team, and will also collaborate with FastTrack stakeholders to help support a rapidly growing sales pipeline, as well as take part in the continuous improvement of the platform for active clients, partners and other users.
This role will require someone that can hit the ground running, and that will be motivated by a role that will evolve rapidly to support the dynamic needs of a growing new product within a well-established organization. This position will also require a very strong storyteller, someone that is capable of presenting complex data to audiences of varying skill sets, meeting with peers and executives internally, as well as important stakeholders from existing and prospective clients. These analytics will be delivered on a new platform, being developed in Tableau, that will provide foundational, as well as value-added insights for clients. A qualified candidate should have significant experience developing and delivering analytics platforms, with a particular focus on the visual aesthetics, responsiveness, and performance of the dashboards/visuals - as well as the clear communication of the insights & their business value.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Review, validate, and prepare data from prospective corporate clients for analysis
Develop and deploy BI resources that extract insightful stories in the data and present them in visuals that are simple, yet impactful
Participate in meetings with prospective & current clients to share findings and answer questions, as well as listen to identify opportunities to improve future analytics
Collaborate with members of the Data, Credit and SCF/FastTrack teams to support sales, onboarding and operations efforts
Create or discover new sources of data to achieve business goals, such as new prospect conversion rates, supplier onboarding & adoption, and drive interest in analytics for current clients
Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex results to both technical and non-technical audiences
Collaborate with other teams to develop, deploy, and maintain production BI/data systems
Monitor usage and review feedback of the BI/analytics systems to identify ongoing opportunities to improve and enrich the content
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to tell a compelling story with data
Strong background working with relational databases and data warehouses, writing SQL queries to load, process and extract data to support analytics and data science needs
Ability to work with stakeholders to gather and translate business needs, as well as evaluate and collect feedback to improve deployed resources
Significant experience with data processing and business intelligence tools (preferably Tableau); a solid working knowledge of Excel is strongly recommended
Confident & self-motivated contributor, willing to ask questions and share new ideas, and excited to take work a step farther than required
Financial services domain experience is preferred; more specifically, business lending/payments, supply chain finance, or middle market lending
A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a equivalent relevant experience
Proven experience developing effective, intuitive, and visually appealing business intelligence tools/dashboards (**As part of the interview process we strongly encourage you to be prepared to share an example/demo of your work)
A consistent track record of performing data analysis using SQL, Java, R, C# and/or Python along with BI/visualization tools such as Tableau
Bonus: Experience and knowledge of how to work in an Agile/Scrum-driven environment
Bonus: Experience contributing to ETL processes, working with Git (or some version control system), and experience with a CI/CD pipeline.
Bonus: knowledge/experience in Invoice and/or Supply Chain Finance

This is a full-time position.
There is minimal travel expected for this position.
