Business Development Director (or VP)

Job Title: Senior  Business Development Director (or Vice President; BDD); this position is Supply Chain Finance-focused, with cross-platform business development accountability

LSQ is seeking an exceptionally talented and motivated Business Development Director.   Reporting to the EVP, Channel Management & Strategy - but working closely with the EVP of Supply Chain Finance, the National Sales Director, and the Director of Marketing, and their respective teams - the BDD is responsible for proactively identifying & establishing partner and referral relationships for LSQ’s primary business lines. The BDD should be  passionate about building partnerships that will build on LSQ’s mission and seek alignment with strategic and business referral partners to consistently generate qualified opportunities for LSQ. Consistent, frequent and high quality communication with partners/channels will be paramount, providing valuable insights and clear objectives to all parties.  

  • Build successful partner and channel relationships  that drives ROI

    • Re-engage existing relationships

    • Recruit, negotiate and enable new partners/channels

    • Drive joint partner marketing programs

    • Uncover new sales qualified opportunities 

    • Develop & present insightful Partner/Channel data & analytics

  • Identifies & qualifies key partnerships that meet the LSQ Ideal Partner Profile parameters

  • Performs partner analysis and builds a joint value proposition/business case, determining partner potential to provide adequate ROI for LSQ

  • Negotiates a variety of partnership agreement types including, but not limited to, Referral, Co-seller, Reseller and OEM white-label opportunities

  • Works closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, to ensure proper program enablement, which includes but is not limited to: program launch/rollout joint account reviews; joint sales alignment; joint marketing campaigns

  • Ensures smooth transition of qualified opportunities to sales teams 

  • Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed and CRM standards are met

  • Acts as primary point-of-contact to the partner/channel

  • Masters and maintains extensive and dynamic knowledge of LSQ’s platforms/products

  • Monitors & reports on Partner/Channel programs

  • This employee shall maintain or assist in the maintenance of the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data in physical and/or electronic format

Required Skills and Experience: :

  • 5 t0 8+ years of enterprise software, cloud or finance-technology platform business development

  • 3+ years years of Working Capital Management, Finance, Banking, and/or related financial services industry experience

  • Strategic thinking coupled with ability to drive business end-to-end, and to execute in collaboration with key internal and external partners

  • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment, anticipate needs and drive results

  • Proven track record in meeting & exceeding targets

  • Ability to lead and project-manage across multiple functional areas and stakeholders

  • Self-starter who proactively seeks ways to improve and drive business to the next level

  • Fast learner, with passion for payments and the Fintech world

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and other relevant sales management tools

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business or Computer Science

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch.
